An award-winning businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tony has over three decades of experience in the world of business. A Dundonian, Tony has had a varied working career from the age of 11 from a paper boy to a financial advisor. He was a Para in the Falklands before building one of Scotland’s largest privately owned group of care homes.
Having sold his majority stake in Balhousie Care Group in 2022, Tony has founded Ruby Capital and, along with his team of talented co-directors, has created a business dedicated to investing in emerging and established businesses, providing a wealth of expertise and support to others.
Named after Tony’s inspirational and driven late mother, Ruby Banks, Ruby Capital is continually growing in a variety of sectors and Tony is passionate about discovering and mentoring many more businesses and individuals in the future.

Louise works across all of Ruby Capital’s investments, focusing on the development and delivery of strategic plans. She’s also responsible for corporate governance, legal and compliance across the group.
After graduating with a Law degree from the University of Dundee, Louise worked for Tesco for 10 years in a number of senior roles including Operations Manager and Communications Manager. She went on to become Head of Corporate Services at one of Scotland’s leading residential care providers, Balhousie Care Group, where she led the corporate functions including legal and compliance, marketing and IT.
With such a diverse portfolio of businesses at Ruby Capital, Louise thrives on no two days being the same and that there’s always an opportunity to learn something new.

A qualified Chartered Accountant with over twenty years in financial management roles, Jill oversees the internal and external financial reporting of Ruby Capital, stewards the organisation’s assets and has responsibility for cash management.
In her most recent role, Jill was CEO of Balhousie Care Group, one of Scotland’s largest private care home operators, and successfully led the corporate sale of the organisation in 2022.
Jill is in her element when she is aiding decision making through delivering timely financial data. She loves being part of a varied and dynamic team at Ruby Capital and she is excited to be able to help entrepreneurs of the future.

Vic enjoyed a 43-year career in relationship banking having joined from school in Aberdeen in 1976. On retiring in 2019 he became an Advisor to the Board of Balhousie Care Group through one of the most challenging periods in its history. Vic thrives on building and maintaining relationships and helping businesses start, grow and flourish so the opportunity to do this with both Ruby Capital is one he relishes.
